Shriners Children's is a network of 22 pediatric specialty hospitals across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. They provide care for children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, regardless of the family's ability to pay. The organization is committed to delivering compassionate, innovative, and high-quality care, conducting research, and providing medical education.

Shriners Transportation Program

The Shriners Hospitals for Children transportation program provides free transportation for children and their families to and from Shriners Hospitals for medical care. This includes local transportation, air travel, and other modes of transport, ensuring children can access the specialized care they need. The program is funded by donations and managed separately from Shrine Center funds.

  • Local Transportation: Volunteers from Shrine centers provide transportation using specialized vehicles like vans and cars, often donating their time and resources.
  • Air Travel: This includes both commercial flights and medevac services, especially crucial for patients needing urgent care or traveling long distances.
  • Other Modes: The program may also arrange for train or bus tickets when appropriate.
